Is This $199 Webcam Actually DSLR Quality?

Was playing around with a new webcam and holy shit, it might actually be good.
I turn down almost every camera review request I get. Every USB webcam lately is the same story. 4K. Decent color. Fine for most people. Boring.
But not this one.
The Yolo Live Yolo Cam S3 is a $199 4K USB camera with a 1.3 inch sensor. To put that in perspective - the Logitech C920, arguably the most popular webcam ever, has a sensor that looks tiny in comparison. Even Logitech's 4K Brio uses that same small sensor and looks like garbage next to this thing.
What actually impressed me:
The low light performance is the best I've ever seen in a USB webcam. Full stop. The digital zoom doesn't look digital. It looks optical. How the fuck do they do that? The magnetic mount is satisfying as hell. Flip between landscape and portrait instantly. The bokeh looks weirdly natural for software processing.
But I have questions.
Their marketing claims "zero compression" 4K over USB-C. I did the math. There's no way that's true. And the software has some choices that drive me up a wall - hidden resolution settings, collapsible menus everywhere, UI elements that look interactive but aren't.
Is it still worth $199? Yeah. Absolutely.
I go deep on the specs, the math, the software gripes, and what I'd like to see improved in the full video. Link above.
